Family Portrait Session, Farnham, Surrey

Such a great session with a really lovely family.  This little one was so much fun to photograph and loved being tickled!  Once she'd escaped from mum and dad though, there was no stopping her and she was off exploring everywhere.  We did manage to distract her for a few moments by getting her to water the seedlings, although I think they might have got rather too much of a soaking, poor things - more of a deluge than a gentle sprinkling!

School Christmas Fair in Haslemere Surrey

A couple of weekends ago I exhibited at a school Christmas fair in Haslemere.  The venue was stunning - a beautiful building in an amazing setting.  The fair was spread out over several different areas and we were in the marquee where there was an impressive variety of stands selling all sorts of Christmassy things. The atmosphere was great and it was lovely to meet all the mums and dads and their families who stopped by to have a chat. 

And huge thanks to my wonderful friend Rose who helped transport me and all my products, photographed me and kept me well supplied with Christmas cupcakes! x

 
 

Baby Photography Surrey

This little girl was such a pleasure to photograph - she was so happy and contented, and didn't even object to the numerous outfit changes which I put her through during the session!

I always like to allow a whole morning for my baby portrait sessions if possible - this means that as well as getting a good range and variety of images, we have plenty of time to allow for naps and feeds; so, we used mum and dad's bedroom and then spent a short time in the garden too.  When I saw the little red coat and the strawberry hat, I just couldn't resist!

Baby Portrait Photography - Grayshott, Haslemere, Surrey

More baby pictures!  This time from a session with baby Toby and his parents. 

Mum and dad's bedroom again proved the ideal setting in terms of lighting and Toby was the perfect subject. 

At their pre-meeting, I'd noticed both a bean bag in one of the other rooms and a brightly coloured baby blanket too, which I just had to include in some of the shots. So, after he'd had a change and a feed, we put the bean bag onto the bed covered in the blanket.  And the final touch to get Toby off to sleep was to switch the hairdryer on for some soothing background noise, which worked a treat!

 
 
 
 

 
 

Baby Photography Session, Woking, Surrey

I seem to have been photographing nothing but babies recently, but I'm not complaining!  Here are some of my favourite shots from a recent session with baby Jacob and his parents. 

We'd discussed clothing choices for both Jacob and themselves at our pre-meet, and I'd also been able to assess in advance the best locations around their home for taking the photographs. 

Although I always allow plenty of time for babies to take a nap during my sessions, apart from a very short one, he was wide awake throughout.
